Do or die, you’ll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you’ll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
I won’t explain or say I’m sorry
I’m unashamed, I’m gonna show my scar
Give a cheer for all the broken
Listen here, because it’s who we are
I’m just a man, I’m not a hero
Just a boy, who had to sing this song
I’m just a man, I’m not a hero
I! Don’t! Care!

We’ll carry on

This is, by far, one of my absolute FAVORITE pieces of fan art. Seriously. Go look at it on deviant art and see it larger. It’s gorgeous.

First thought:

“DAMMIT, TIGULL, WHAT HAVE WE TOLD YOU ABOUT EATING YOUR FRIENDS?”

is it sad that I was trying to read this because I know it’s part of Living Proof?

I think I’ve hit rock bottom.

I can’t even read it. seriously, I just tried. I read the words “Yeah,” Sora nodded. “Cloud. He’s 23 and lives in Radiant Gardens.” and I don’t deserve you. that’s actually all I got off this.

I saw something about a ‘fried of clap’?

I wish I could read it properly.

fried *scribble scribble cross out* crap. close enough. A for effort.

I can actually read almost all of this! (Except for a word or two here or there, but the rest of the sentence sorts it out). The little part coming out of the corner is a mystery, but the horizontal and vertical sections I can read! :D

The really important one

I love this, but I have to nitpick. That’s a picture of Ventus, not Roxas.

One of the most powerful things about this scene is how little Sora knows and how much Roxas knows.

Sora glares at his unbeknownst enemy, doubtful and confused as to who this boy is, and why he is fighting with him.

Roxas looks upward, bracing himself for what he has to do. He now knows of all that has been his existence- his days with the organization, his days in the fake Twilight Town, his struggles with Axel, and his nature as a Nobody who must now do what is “right”- even though what is “right” requires him to lose himself and succumb to the identity of Sora, his Somebody. Roxas finally has a full picture of his “life”, memories, and role in this struggle to subdue the darkness. And here, in this, he takes comfort in the fact that his Somebody is someone worth sacrificing himself for. He takes a breath, and straightens himself up, preparing for what is about to happen and telling himself that it will be okay, that he is okay with this.

And Sora doesn’t see any of it.
